What are the S1-S4 categories I see in 2026?
From 2026, KEA's cutoff files list new codes S1 through S4 (with the usual G/K/R suffixes) alongside SC. These reflect the sub-classification of Scheduled Caste reservation introduced in Karnataka, which splits the SC quota into internal groups. If you are an SC candidate for 2026 onwards, check your allotted internal group in your KEA verification slip and read the matching S-code column.
